Radio Repton was set up at the end of 2020 by a group of friends and volunteers. It’s simple aim - to help people in the neighbourhood keep connected to each other and to community activity while the COVID pandemic limited normal community activities and contacts.

The project has been funded through donations from friends and supporters. Radio Repton is not a registered charity.


The current organisers intend to continue to run Radio Repton until the end of 2021 and at that point review it’s future.  A decision will then be taken about its running going forwards in light of perceived need and the level of interest from groups or individuals in continuing to manage the programming etc.


Funds have been secured to meet the current costs involved in running Radio Repton and purchasing copyright music. Additional donations are gratefully received to contribute to ongoing running costs and to enable expansion and improvements.  


A dedicated Paypal account is registered to the main organiser, Andrea Balderston to receive donations. This is overseen by the Radio Repton Steering Team for transparency and accountability.
